Deeplocal is looking for a new class of Creative Technology interns for summer 2023 who are inventive, creative, and technical.

Deeplocal interns work alongside our staff on active projects, learn our process, and engage with the company on everything from robotics to experience design to concept ideation. Interns are exposed to all aspects of the business and contribute to actual client projects. All internships will be based in our office in Pittsburgh, PA this summer.

Specifically, Deeplocal is looking for interns with software backgrounds or backgrounds in a hybrid of disciplines, with strong software skills—including architecture, fine arts, design, electrical and computer engineering, robotics, computer science, or many other disciplines. We particularly look for students who are excited to invent new things and create incredible experiences that utilize technology and/or clever design.

Deeplocal is the place to be if you have a wide variety of interests and want to work in an environment that draws upon many of them. Perhaps you have a dual degree in art and computer science and you want to find a company where you can do both. Or maybe you designed your own major. At Deeplocal, we welcome the weird and wonderful people who don’t fit typical job roles.

Past intern experiences include:

  • Helping to design and invent a Nike shoe drop machine that thousands experienced in NYC

  • Assisting on the design and development of a voice-controlled drawing robot, then traveling to Cannes, France to support the exhibit

  • Engineering tele-present robots that traveled around the piazzas of Italy while being controlled by people at home around the world, then supporting the robots in Taormina, Sicily

We are looking for exceptional students who eventually may want to be full-time employees at Deeplocal.

Compensation

Interns are compensated with competitive wages. For credit options are also available if desired.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability
Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 5/31/2023
Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor required by law to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We are also required to measure our progress toward having at least 7% of our workforce be individuals with disabilities. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had a disability. Because a person may become disabled at any time, we ask all of our employees to update their information at least every five years.

Identifying yourself as an individual with a disability is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer will be maintained confidentially and not be seen by selecting officials or anyone else involved in making personnel decisions. Completing the form will not negatively impact you in any way, regardless of whether you have self-identified in the past. For more information about this form or the equal employment obligations of federal contractors under Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
